There's an innate but prevalent issue, in which American #culture is rooted. From the inadequate policies and protection to pretentious, yet restrictive systems that all but tell the majority-minority that they are not welcome, there are many sociopolitical trends that permeate workplace culture as well.
The issue resembles, if not reflects, a superiority complex that allows individuals to feel that other cultures are undistinguished and their beliefs simple and even mythical. Creating a truly welcoming, diverse, and inclusive culture requires an effort to dismantle this perception. From the physical environment to the #engagement activities to the available support services, there are a variety of items that should be assessed and measures that should be taken to ensure that all employees and team members feel of equal value.
👉🏿What does your workplace look like from the perspective of other races?
👉🏾How is your workplace perceived by those with varied cultures?
👉🏽Can you genuinely have conversations with those of different beliefs than yours without #fear or confrontation?
LET'S TALK ABOUT IT! So we can walk into next week with a plan to do better or so more.
