January 24th is #NationalComplimentDay !
Take a moment to pay your neighbor, your friends, your family, or the random passersby a compliment. You'd be amazed at how kind words can add light to someone's day.
Many people go through their day, being of service to others but left feeling unappreciated, thus losing the motivation to keep going. Such is the case with workers in the public health industry.
Burnout and turnover are at an all-time high in the public health field, and it is projected to increase over the next 5 to 10 years. We need these individuals to help our communities to stay encouraged, focused, and connected, especially during times of crises as we have experienced lately. So, let's pay them back with simply kind words of appreciation.
