Acknowledge your value. Promote your greatness.

About a month ago, I had the task-turned-privilege of having a third eye critique my resume. The facts align. The progression is present. The skills used are relatively consistent. Overall, it showcased what I have done throughout my career. But, that was the issue. My resume was a list of things that I had done, but it failed to capture what I has ACCOMPLISHED!

I had been painting a partial picture of who I was and the value I bring, which would account for the partial offers received and the multiple offers rejected. This was a valuable lesson to learned as I closed out 2022.

Each job you take should position you closer to your dream career. Each position should build upon your skill set and enable you to be the best you possible. Whether it's your creative abilities, your capacity for leading people, or you serving as a subject matter experts, acknowledge your value and promote your greatness. Otherwise, you'll remain a hidden gem.
